This morning His Holiness the Dalai Lama took part in a Mind & Life Conversation from his residence by means of video conferencing. Joining him were: Richie Davidson, Carolyn Jacobs, Thupten Jinpa, and Susan Bauer-Wu, all longstanding members of the Mind & Life Institute.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama was invited to take part in the Jaipur Literature Festival’s Brave New World project, joining his old friend Pico Iyer in conversation over the internet.

His Holiness pointed out that in order to fulfil our own goals and those of others we need to cultivate bodhichitta. We do have self-interest, but we need to be wisely selfish.
